Today I had the privilege of giving an invited lecture to students in the Solar Decathlon Design Studio at The Catholic University of America’s School of Architecture and Planning.

The presentation was titled “The Sacred Return Home: The Existential Narrative of Sacred Space.” The lecture begins with the primordial house and shifts towards the myth of the eternal return back to that home. With the challenge of designing for a wounded warrior, the lecture explored concepts such as healing in architecture through multi-sensory experiences.
