The Experience of President Lincoln’s Cottage
From December 2015 to January 2018, I served as a research consultant together with Dr. Julio Bermudez for President Abraham Lincoln’s Cottage. We were tasked with conducting a visitor impact study to assess the experience of President Lincoln’s Cottage. This involved post-occupancy evaluation research to create a phenomenological survey for assessing visitors’ aesthetic experiences. My role included initial research, survey instrument design, implementation, analysis of the findings, and the final research report.
President Lincoln’s Cottage is an independent nonprofit historic site and museum located in Washington, DC. It is a National Monument, National Historic Landmark, and site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
